As an actor, you may feel a strong desire to tap into your emotions when acting, auditioning, or taping, especially when it comes to crying on cue. You know deep inside that you're capable of doing it, yet when there is pressure—multiple takes, big emotions—it doesn’t always come through. This can make acting feel like a difficult task rather than a fluid, natural expression of emotion.
As a result of this, you can feel frustrated. In other words, you may doubt yourself and think that you need more training, new techniques, or better circumstances.
But what if the problem isn’t that you need to learn more or work harder, but that you're trapped in a loop of conditioning? From the moment you're born, you’re an emotional being—freely expressing fear, anger, joy, sadness. When you are a child, you’re naturally open and raw. But as you grow, you’re conditioned to repress your emotions: "Don’t cry," "Don’t be angry," "Be appropriate." These expectations from your family, school or society bury your emotional freedom, and then you carry this conditioning into your professional life.
Therefore, when you watch my training below you'll discover that when you struggle to access emotions on cue, it’s not a lack of skill or talent—it’s the result of years of emotional repression. You’re not tapping into your true emotional instrument because it's tied up by layers of conditioning. It’s like trying to play tennis with your feet tied; no matter how much you know about technique, it’s impossible to perform at your best. Similarly, no amount of training will make you fully alive on set if your emotional access is blocked.
The solution isn’t more acting classes. Instead, it’s about undoing years of repression to get back to the free, emotional state you were born with. Once you reset that, acting no longer feels like faking or fabricating. It’s raw, real, effortless, and uniquely yours. When you show up fully alive, casting directors notice, because true emotional freedom is rare and magnetic.
In our Reset Journey, we focus on helping actors undo the conditioning that binds them, using a 33-day sequence of exercises designed to progressively free your emotional instrument. It’s not a method—it’s about resetting your humanity and freedom. Once that happens, you’re not acting anymore. You’re living truthfully, in the moment, and that’s what makes you unforgettable.
